About my work

I was inspired to learn ceramics by viewing the colorful ceramics of the Italian renaissance of the 15th and 16th centuries. I love intricate historic geometric pattern designs. I do both reproduction of 16th century pottery and original designs inspired by historical geometric patterns.

I am a potter as well as a ceramic decorator. I decorate primarily my own hand made ceramic pottery. I also occasionally hand paint commercially made ceramic bisque tableware and tiles.

I love variety. My work includes a large variety of styles.

I use only food safe glazes in my hand painted ceramics.
